2017 Spring New Officials' School - The class will be held at Cumberland Valley High School on the following dates: May 2, May 4, May 9, May 11, May 16, May 18, May 23, and May 25. All classes are held from 6 PM to 8 PM. The cost of the class is $100. Our class will prepare you to take the NFHS basketball officials' exam offered through the PIAA on June 5, 2017. You will also need to register to take the exam at www.piaa.org. There is a $30 fee to take the exam. In addition to teaching you the rules, our class will provide you with on-court training during the summer months. Those dates are yet to be determined. "Ask the Officers" - CPBOA has instituted a new dialogue forum for chapter members to address their comments or concerns to the officers of the chapter depending on the nature of the question. If you are not sure to whom to send the question, please send it to the Secretary and she will make certain it gets to the appropriate person. Please use the following criteria when submitting questions:
President - questions, comments or situations that need to be addressed by the leadership of CPBOA,
Interpreter - rules based questions, comments or concerns, unusual game situations,
Secretary - New officials Class questions, questions or comments concerning Find a Court, banquet, and other chapter functions,
Treasurer - Dues, raffle and other monetary related questions or concerns;

Executive Board Communication - The chapter has added a new feature which will help facilitate improved communication between members and the executive committee. Disqualification Process - The PIAA has passed a new by-law that states officials are to file a report with the PIAA Office on the appropriate form within 24 hours of the ejection or they may be placed on probation. Officials who repeatedly do not file the proper form in the prescribed time period may be suspended. This will, in effect, eliminate the false belief that if a report is not filed, the disqualification/ejection did not occur. Click here to log into the PIAA and complete the form.
